Welcome to the car-free natural paradise of Stoos, 1,300 metres above sea level. To prevent this idyllic setting high above Lake Lucerne from being disturbed, access to the village is only permitted to permanent residents. Guests and staff alike can reach the Stoos Hotels in just a few minutes by taking the world’s steepest funicular railway from Schwyz or the aerial cableway from Morschach.

The aerial cableway has small cabins with limited capacity. However, the mountain station is located right next to the Wellness Hotel Stoos.

Getting here on public transport:

Save yourself the hassle of having to carry your luggage and take advantage of our attractive luggage service, offered in cooperation with Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). Your suitcases will be collected from your home and will be waiting for you in your hotel room when you arrive.

– Schwyz funicular railway:
Parking at the funicular railway is subject to a charge. Reserve a space in the multi-storey car park before you arrive.

– Morschach aerial cableway:
Parking spaces are available for an additional charge.
Covered spaces are limited and cannot be reserved. There are usually enough spaces available in the large outdoor car park, though.

Tickets for access transport lines

As a hotel guest, you benefit from a reduced price for tickets for the access transport lines. Please give your name at the counter and mention that you are staying with us as a hotel guest.

Price as a hotel guest: CHF 16.40 per person (Stoos-return)

Prices for holders of SBB travelcards

  • With a GA travelcard: free
  • With a Half Fare travelcard: CHF 11.60 per person (Stoos-return)
