A loving place for your children

Welcome to our mountain daycare centre in the natural paradise of Stoos. Thanks to our unique location at Stoos Lodge, right next to the funicular railway’s mountain station, yet surrounded by nature, we offer employees, hotel guests and parents in the region a wide range of activities and types of childcare for their children.

Fabienne

For me, it is a pleasure to come to the mountain nursery every day, to watch the children, to hear their laughter and to be there for them. It is important to me to view each child as an individual, to accept them in their development and to support them in their activities.

I love being there for the children in their day-to-day lives and helping them to develop. The mountain daycare centre is a place where young children grow up. I look forward to exploring Stoos with the children, experiencing the different seasons and enjoying the sunshine.

I love seeing the children’s bright eyes and happy faces as they learn new things and explore the world around them. Every day, they show me what is really important in life.

For me, there is nothing better than seeing the children happy and contented as they discover all the fascinating things nature has to offer and talk about them with such enthusiasm. It warms my heart to see this and makes my job something I can be truly passionate about.

Providing children with love and care and aiding their development in the best possible way is my calling in life.

I love listening to the children and seeing the world through their eyes again, because children help us to see a world full of colour where miracles are always possible.

Educational approach

«The child is always at the heart of everything we do»

Our day-to-day care work is guided by the principle.

Our educational concept aims to make children «fit for the future» by providing them with the tools that will enable them to shape their future with self-confidence and self-determination. We encourage children’s natural curiosity by picking up on and expanding on the things they talk about and taking into account the influences of seasons, festivals and traditions. We see children as equal partners in the learning process. In everything we do, we keep in mind that children are able to organise their day-to-day lives independently. That’s why we strive to provide only as much help as is needed while still offering emotional security, safety, recognition and trust.

Nutrition

Our mountain daycare centre offers not only love and care, but also a healthy and varied diet. We make sure that every child receives the right food, being mindful of allergies and religious practices.

Our team integrates the children into everyday life in an age-appropriate manner and gives them the opportunity to help prepare meals. We offer a balanced mid-morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack, and for the children who come to the mountain daycare centre early we serve a delicious breakfast.

The kitchen team at Stoos Lodge provides the daycare centre with professional support to help with meal planning and preparation.

Infrastructure

We attach great importance to offering the children a varied and educational programme both indoors and outdoors. Stoos and the location of Stoos Lodge offer the ideal conditions for this.

The nursery is well equipped with toys, places to enjoy some peace and quiet, a kitchen and plenty of space for learning. The large indoor fun park is sure to make children’s eyes light up. And right on the centre’s doorstep are farms, an educational moorland habitat and various playgrounds with picnic facilities, all within 5–15 minutes’ walk. The children get to enjoy lots of snow and sunshine throughout winter above the sea of fog.
